A annual summer tradition~ Flicks on the Field this Saturday night

It may be nearing the end of the summer, but there is one more thing to check off your bucket list. The annual Flicks on the Field under the light of the moon will be this Saturday, August 24th. The weather is looking great for a beautiful night to watch Madagascar 3. (Rain date is Sunday, August 25th.)

The festivities kick off at 6:30 pm. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase or avoid the lines and pack a picnic dinner. There will be activities for the little kids to get their wiggles out before the movie begins at 7:45. Remember to pack a lawn blanket, a cozy sweatshirt and bug spray. If you've been to Flicks before, please share some of your tips in the comment section below. 

All families are asked to bring an item to donate to the Needham Community Council Food Pantry. Items most needed are listed at http://needhamcommunitycouncil.org/.

New Pool in Needham? Meeting Monday night!

The town of Needham is holding a meeting this Monday, July 22 to solicit any vision for the future of Rosemary Pool site.  The Community Center of Needham, Inc. (CCN), also a citizen led community organization has been working to promote new swimming and recreational facilities in Town. Their first priority right now is to advocate for a new swimming pool at the Rosemary Pool site.  If you want a new pool in Needham, please consider supporting their efforts.  There is an important community meeting at Town Hall THIS MONDAY, July 22nd at 7 pm, for citizens to voice their vision for the Rosemary Pool Complex. About the Author
Caitlin lives in Needham with her husband Brian, son Lincoln, and dog Harper. She is originally from Florida, and came north to study at Boston College. Caitlin was a middle school English teacher before deciding to stay home with her son. She also works as a Local Childcare Coordinator with Cultural Care Au Pair. Being a member of Parent Talk has allowed Caitlin to become more involved in the community and make lifelong friends! She is very active in the group as the Membership Chairperson, but also running the Parent Talk playgroup for her son's age. Caitlin loves spending time with family and friends, making Lincoln laugh, traveling to new and old places, and eating good food.

Although we never want to return to high school and popularity contests, Parent Talk is in the running for a very cool contest. Red Tricycle is getting the scoop on the best of the best for parents, including groups for Moms and Dads.  A lot of us agree that Parent Talk is the best!
